During summer months, it is advisable to wear light garments and perhaps keep a light jacket or sweater as well as an umbrella.

For tours that have a lot of walking please take comfortable walking shoes such as trainers. This is especially for tours to Italy or tours that include Disneyland.

For tours that include excursions to mountaintops such as Mt. Titlis or Mt. Jungfrau, please take closed shoes rather than sandals etc, shoes that have grip would be most suitable, as well as this please ensure you carry a light jacket or jumper with you can wear whilst visiting the mountains.

You will need Euros for most of Europe, for Switzerland you will require Swiss Francs. For other destinations please see “other information” under the tour you are booking on. Alternatively you can call our sales team who will advise you further.

Dilse Tours advices passengers to exchange any spending money for their holiday before they travel. Whilst on tour it is very inconvenient and often not possible. Also not all places of interest passengers will be visiting will have ATM machines or accept credit/debit cards.

We recommend that as a minimum, passengers should carry the equivalent of £20 pounds in local currency per person per day for personal expenses.

We highly recommend all our passengers to get travel insurance that is suitable for the type of tour they are conducting.

On the first day of your tour you may collect a list of details for the hotels you will be staying in, as reference. This will be useful if you separate from the group by mistake. You may email us to request one 5 days in prior to your tour.

All hotels used are a minimum of 3* category; that includes en-suite bathroom and generally TV, Telephone and basic toiletries. Some of the hotels also include bar and restaurant facilities and even a 24- hour reception service.

This may vary from one night to several nights depending on your tour.

In most of the hotels we use, their will be accommodation for three people. If you have a second-child sharing in your room, we may be able to offer you a reduction. Please check with us to see if this is applicable to your group.

You may wish to choose from a choice of Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian. Jain or Halal meals are on request basis and never guranteed. You need to advise our reservations team at the time of your booking of your preferred diet.

Our vegetarian lunches are usually served outdoors in a picnic style buffet atmosphere, and you can expect a varied daily menu in a buffet set up. It will be similar to dinner but lighter and without a non vegetarian dish.
